Telferscot 0 – 1 Rosendale

Rosendale stormed to a second consecutive league victory this morning and once again displayed an excellent esprit de corps with a result that leaves us with a fighting chance of not finishing at the bottom of the league table. Rex captained and goalkept as confidently as ever, with the back four once again excellent in mopping up all Telferscot’s attacks and working together as a unit. Half way through the first half Cameron came close to scoring, latching onto Seamus’ inch perfect ball only to be denied by their keeper. Minutes later Cameron became supplier and his through ball found Reuben, making his Rosendale debut, who cooly controlled and shot decisively to the keeper’s right to put Rosendale ahead. From then on, Rosendale became dominant and came close to increasing their lead, Javan adjudged to be off side when netting late in the second half. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Seamus who received a painful studded tackle to his ankle. Win our final game and we’ll lift ourselves from the bottom where we’ve spent far too long this season. I’m sure we can do it.

Team: Rex (captain), Kieran, Theo, Troy, Javan, Mackenzie, Billy, George, Alfie, Reuben, Seamus, Cameron
