ROSENDALE RED 1 – 1 STREATHAM WELLS
After having come so close to victory the previous Saturday, two games in three days has turned the season around. Although officially still winter, the Fields were bathed in warm sunshine on Thursday evening as we took on Streatham Wells. In a evenly fought game, Streatham went into the break a goal to the good. However half way through the second period Zac was pulled to the ground on the edge of the box whilst clear through on goal. The resulting spot kick was buried into the right hand corner. Although coming close to securing a win, the points were shared at the whistle.
ST LEONARDS 0 – 3 ROSENDALE RED
Mr Cranston’s unavailability meant that Mr Rob “the-chosen-one” Reynolds took charge of the team a couple of days later as they squared up to St Leonards. His special touch clearly worked as the team secured their first victory of the season with a 3- 0 result. With four league games yet to play, the Magazine Cup not yet commenced, the Reds look set to finish in their highest ever league position this year. Well done to you all.
